Our mission is to empower confidence through fashion that makes women look amazing, and most importantly feel amazing.
We believe great design is all in the details, that the most important foundation of an outfit is confidence, and there’s nothing more beautiful than a woman who believes she is.
Our designs are modern, with a classic, feminine sensibility.
Each collection is a thoughtful mix of work to weekend essentials, expertly crafted for the size 10-28 girl with curves.
Our story began in 2011 when Tanesha Awasthi started sharing images of her outfits online, with a mission to show girls with curves they can look and feel amazing, regardless of size.
Three weeks into the Girl With Curves blog, she was featured in Glamour magazine in a How To story for styling skinny jeans.
Months later, she was invited to attend New York Fashion Week as one of Tumblr's top 20 bloggers.
Shortly after, she attended a fashion show wearing a tutu skirt and images went viral.
A year later, she designed her own tutu that sold out overnight, followed by Girl With Curves graphic tee's and contemporary work to weekend blazers, skirts and dresses.
In 2017 and 2018, she partnered with leading retailers to bring more plus size designs to market, receiving critical acclaim for both collections.
In the fall of 2019, Tanesha and team launched Girl With Curves collection online in San Francisco, CA.
We incorporate our signature mark into several of our designs, for an unexpected surprise.
In an effort to minimize the negative environmental impacts associated with manufacturing, lessen our carbon footprint and ensure that everyone involved are treated fairly and respectfully along the way, our products are made in the USA, in San Francisco, CA.
